The first in a long series of old-world transformations, this kitchen launched experimentation into the possibilities of layering multiple materials. Working with the existing architecture, the realistic brick pattern conforms to the structure of the room and gives the illusion of dimension as it wraps around corners. An overcoat of an organically trowelled finishing plaster is aged with a three color toning glaze to complement the cabinetry.
