The transition archway from the living room to the foyer was constructed from drywall and flexible moldings. Inlaid in the walls were carvings taken from an antique oriental chest. Using the colors, style and textures found in the carvings this small opening was transformed into a cohesive element which joined the two adjacent rooms. |
